Build Stronger Bones

As we all know, it’s very  important to take good care of your bones.  Good bones should be stron and healthy in order to perform daily functions maintain your overall body health.  The skeletal structure  provides protection and structural support for all of your major organs such as like the lungs, marrow and, especially the heart and brain.  The bones are light yet strong, made of a web-like structure.  When the bone structure becomes weakened, they can become brittle and thin which can be the cause of marrow deficiency and osteoporosis.

There are many different things you can do to make sure your bones stay healthy and strong.

First, a healthy balanced diet is key.  Your diet should be rich with vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Vitamins and minerals such as calcium, magnesium and vitamin D are well reputed for beneficial bone health.  Orange juice, milk, cheese and yogurt are also great sources for calcium as well.

It doesn’t stop there. Dark leafy greens, oysters, sardines, garlic, onions and other veggies like broccoli are abundant with nutrients for bone health.  If you are one who doesn’t get to cook like you want, supplements might be the ticket for you.

Your diet should be complimented with a good exercise regimen.  Physical activity is not only important for good strong bones, it also gives you an all around benefit for wellness.  Running, swimming, walking, dancing, martial arts and weight lifting are excellent for you overall bone structure.  Physical exercise, depending on the activity, puts stress on the bones and  makes them stronger.

You’re never too young or too old to start taking care of your bones.  Eat right, exercise, get the proper nutrients and you will enjoy healthy bones for a long time.  Enjoy your wellness.

Good point! It doesn’t make sense to wait until you’re older and breaking hips to think about bone health. Eating right now can go a long way to prevent problems later!
