Your immune system is your first and last line of defense when it comes to overall wellness. Whenever you take anything into your body, be it a pill, food or a topical substance, you should always keep in mind the effects it will have on your immune system.
Here are some simple and effective things that you can do to keep your immune system healthy and strong.
Wash your hands- You’d be surprised at how doing this simple routine can save you from days and even weeks of bed ridden torture. Wash your hands whenever you come in from outside, before you eat, after you touch any unclean surface and definitely after you use the restroom.
Cut back on sugar- Sugar, especially refined sugar (candy, sweets and junk food), is generally bad for your immune system. It can break your immune system down when consumed in large amounts in a short amount of time. Instead of grabbing a twinky or a candy bar, pick up an apple or an orange when craving something sweet.
Drink Plenty of Water- The human body is made up of 45% to 75% of water depending on your body fat index. When your body becomes low on water, it cannot function properly and therefore your immune system cannot function properly either. Try and consume between 6 to 8 glasses of water per day. One method for this that works best is to drink throughout the day as oppossed to filling up in one sitting. This way you stay evenly hydrated.
Remember, your immune system is your first and last line of defense so guard it well and it will guard you well. As always, your comments are welcome and encouraged. Enjoy your wellness.

I’d add a few more: eat nutritious whole foods, exercise, reduce stress, and get enough sleep!
The better you take care or your body, the better it’s able to fight off Evil Viruses.
